The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Mervat Al-Sous accompanied by some faculty members: Dr. Ghaith Al-Ta’ani, Dr. Meriem Rezigue, Dr. Alaa Mukhaimer, Dr. Deniz Al-Tawalbeh, Dr. Omar Gammoh, Dr. Rawan Al- Sharedeh, Dr. Hadeia Mashqabeh and the pharmacist Salam Al-Shanaq attended a pharmacovigilance building capacity workshop that was organized by the Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA) in cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), which was held at King Abdullah University Hospital on Tuesday 14/6/2022.

The second career day was launched at the Faculty of Pharmacy on Thursday, 02/05/2022, in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Ababneh, Preseident of the Jordan Pharmacists Syndicate, who explained during his speech the importance of the role of the Syndicate and its support for graduates and its keenness to provide them with suitable job opportunities. The activities of the career day also included holding a series of lectures with various topics in the field of diversity in pharmaceutical practice, drug registration, the role of the pharmacist in the Food and Drug Administration, the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical marketing, digital marketing and the basis for job interviews.
The participating lecturers were also presented with an honorary shield, these include Dr. Ahmed Al-Rasasi, General Manager of Al-Noor Drugstore for Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Rima Al-Atoum from the Food and Drug Administration, Dr. Mahdi Al-Ajlouni, Head of the Sub-Committee of the Pharmacists Syndicate - Irbid, Dr. Firas Al-Tarifi, Director of Strategic Business Development for Al-Taqaddum Pharmaceutical Industries, Dr. Saif Haddadin Founder of the Sawaed application for medical and home services, and Dr. Ghassan Salama, director of human resources and administrative affairs for Al- Taqaddum Pharmaceutical Industries.










The clinical pharmacy exam for field training students of pharmacy college was held on Sunday 22.5.2022 with the participation of the field training committee members, teaching assistants and laboratory supervisors.










The Pharmacist Field Training / Reality and Challenges day was held on Wednesday 1/6/2022 at the Middle East University to review the experiences and expertise of Universities in developing pharmaceutical field training.
In behalf of the training committee, the event was attended by Prof. Dr. Mervat Al-Sous and the pharmacist Salam Al-Shanaq and suggestions for improving field training in Universities were discussed.

On Monday, 6/6/2022, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University hosted Dr. Sima Misr from the Turkish University of Sivas, who presented a scientific lecture on miRNA and cancer, which was attended by a number of academic staff and students at the faculty.




On the occasion of Eid ALfitr, the social committee in the college of pharmacy coordinated to hold a greeting ceremony between faculty staff on Thursday 12/5/2022. At the beginning, the dean of the college, Prof Mervet Alsous were delivered a speach and congratulated the attendants then the staff exchanged the greetings. Such ceremony promote the sochial relationship in the college.


On Saturday 18-6-2022, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University, in cooperation with the "We Are All Jordan" Youth Commission and a cadre of the Faculty of Medicine / Yarmouk University, held a free medical day at Samou` School / Samou` Village / Koura District / Irbid. The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Mervat Al-Sous, inaugurated the activities of the free medical day, which supports the role of the university in serving the local community and strengthening partnerships with the institutions of the country.
Dr. Ali Hmedat, the main coordinator of the initiative, indicated that nearly 1,000 citizens have benefited from the services provided to them through this initiative. Where medical and health care was provided with the participation of a group of doctors, pharmacists, specialists, companies, medical centers, and laboratories, in addition to many medical specialties, most notably children, internal medicine, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, cardiology, dermatology, ENT, general medicine and mental health.
The medical day was also attended by a mother and child nutritionist, speech and hearing professionals, skin and cosmetic and eye examination, in addition to several laboratory tests and free medical medicines.






On Monday, May 23, 2022, an activity for interactive lectures in pharmacology was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy. This lecture has been organized by the faculty members specializing in pharmacology such as Dr. Alaa Yahya, Dr. Omar Gammoh and Dr. Mansour Haddad. Dr. Rawan Shraideh - Assistant Dean for Student Affairs was also present at the event. The interactive day included a lecture by Dr. Fadi Al-Afifi from JOSWE Pharmaceutical Industries, on the topic of depression drugs: their curative properties and the most important side effects. Dr. Khitam Al-Samman - chief pharmacist at Al-Samman Pharmacy presented the second lecture on the topic: Antibiotics from the experience of a community pharmacy in Jordan.
The activity included a Q&A session with the students and giving them instructions by the lecturers regarding the importance of the pharmacist's role in providing correct pharmaceutical advice based on accurate scientific principles. The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Mervat Al-Sous, welcomed the lecturers and presented certificates of appreciation to the lecturers for their participation and insightful information. She also praised the organization of similar interactive lectures to provide various experiences for students and support the advancement of the scientific level in the Faculty of Pharmacy


The Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University held an awareness lecture on the importance of providing pharmaceutical advice to the patient on Monday 25/4/2022 under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, A. Prof. Mervat Al.Sous.
This lecture emphasizes the effective role of the pharmacist in improving medical care by providing pharmaceutical advice to patients.
Assistant Dean for Student Affairs Dr. Rawan Al-Shraideh welcomed the honorable attendees and delivered an opening speech on the importance of the topic, followed by a distinguished lecture by Dr. Muna Alhendawi, who focused on the protocols of how to provide proper and effective patient counselling. Dr. Alhindawi has also presented some clinical cases to emphasize the role of proper counselling in reducing the side effects of medications and guiding the patient to the best way to organize medication intake to make the most of it.
The lecture was via the Zoom platform and was attended by a number of the faculty staff and students.
