The faculty of Pharmacy has organized several training workshops for their staff over the period of three days for the purposes of obtaining international accreditation (ACPE) - American Accreditation, in cooperation with the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center. Acting University President Prof. Dr. Mowaffaq Al-Amoush headed the inauguration ceremony in the presence of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Riyadh Al-Momani, and the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Mervat Al-Sous, along with the members of the faculty’s academic staff, the Director of the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Abdullah Al-Khatayba, and the Director of the Public Relations and Information Department, Mukhlis Al-Abini.
Prof. Dr. Mowaffaq Al-Amoush has affirmed Yarmouk's pride in the Faculty of Pharmacy, as one of the youngest faculties of the university, having succeeded in imposing its position and reputation among other faculties specialized in Pharmaceutical Sciences among Jordanian universities, in terms of its academic quality, the distinction of its professors and researchers, and the competence of its alumni.
He also added that Yarmouk University will spare no effort in developing the skills and competencies of its teaching, administrative and technical staff members, because this is a direct positive reflection on the quality of the teaching and research process, and thus provides students with knowledge, sciences and skills that distinguish them from others in the workplace.Al-Amoush pointed out that Yarmouk University, in concordance with its strategic plan, will continue its pioneering journey propelled by the eagerness of its students and the competence of its staff by promoting scientific research and employing its capabilities to serve and develop it even further, as well as to continue providing scholarships for student to apply to the most prestigious universities around the world, supplying the various faculties with national academic competencies capable of continuing their journey in construction and academic excellence.The three-day training workshop program includes lectures on team building and strategic planning, scientific research ethics in pharmacy, course design and description and learning outcomes, and an introduction to blended learning and its mechanisms.
In seeking of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University to obtain the American accreditation for pharmacy program from the Accreditaiton Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the College of Pharmacy today hosted Michael Rouse, Director of International Pharmacy Programs at the organization, in a workshop for faculty members in which the policies and procedure for application to the accreditation and the required forms were discussed.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Mervat Al-Sous, and faculty members at the Faculty.
The Faculty of Pharmacy held a workshop entitled "How to develop the learning outcomes of the academic course, evaluation and preparation of the course file" which targeted faculty members at the Faculty. The workshop was moderated by Dr. Amna Al-Rawashdeh and Dr. Alaa Makhzoumi from the Faculty of Education in the university.
At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Dr. Mervat Al-Sous, thanked the attended faculty members and honored the lecturers
The Continuing Education Committee, in coordination with Dr. Reem Issa, at the Faculty of Pharmacy held a scientific workshop entitled Aromatherapy and Essential Oils via Remote Zoom Technology on Wednesday 22-4-2020
Yarmouk University sponsored Pharmaceutical Biotechnology PhD student Ali Hmedat delivered oral presentation entitled “New targeted therapy for treatment of Tongue Squamous Carcinoma” in the in the disease biology and molecular medicine symposium in oxford, UK.
