The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Fadia Mayyas, mentioned that organizing this awareness activity aims to enhance the college's role in serving the university and the community, spreading health awareness in the medical field to protect individuals and society. This is achieved by empowering patients to manage their medications and health conditions.

She added that this activity provides an opportunity to enhance students' skills through practical application and knowledge exchange with the university community. Particularly during the holy month of Ramadan, with its "health considerations" for patients with chronic diseases in terms of medication distribution, multiple doses, and timing closeness, which can be confusing for patients and caregivers. She emphasized that raising health awareness contributes to increasing individual productivity and rationalizing medical expenditure.

Mayyas pointed out that this activity enabled faculty members and students to provide educational and health guidance particularly on the use of common medications for chronic diseases such as diabetes in its various forms, high blood pressure, thyroid diseases, blood thinners, and specific advice for pregnant women during Ramadan.

The activity included an educational lecture delivered by pharmacists Dr. Salam Al-Shanak and Dr. Afaf Khasaone about general guidelines for taking various medications and correcting some misconceptions that could affect fasting during Ramadan.

Additionally, the activity involved students from the college and members of the Training Committee providing health guidance and services including blood pressure and blood sugar measurements to the university community.

The Faculty of Pharmacy welcomed the members of the Medical Club at Yarmouk University in a reception event for club members and medical college students under the auspices of the Student Affairs Deanship. Dr. Zuhair Al-Tahat, the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, congratulated the members of the Medical Club Council and expressed the support of the Student Affairs Deanship and the university presidency for the club in implementing its programs and future plans.

The Dean of Pharmacy, Prof. Fadia Mayyas, welcomed the Dean of Student Affairs and the members of the Medical Club, representing the faculties of pharmacy, medicine, and nursing, which supports the university in implementing its plans and translating its directives to enhance and increase both academic and extracurricular activities in the medical fields.

She invited all students to seize the opportunities and participate in these activities that suit their specializations, gaining them leadership and scientific skills. She also took the opportunity to discuss the student union elections as a real opportunity to practice democracy, participate in decision-making, and shoulder responsibilities, indicating that the new student union instructions provide equal opportunities for voting and candidacy, ensuring fair representation of both male and female students. Mohammed Amawi, the head of the Medical Club from the Faculty of Pharmacy, expressed thanks and welcomed the students, presenting the club's annual plan and interactive activities, along with a speech in support of our people in Gaza by the student Roa’a Hawamdeh from the Faculty of Pharmacy.

A generous invitation from His Royal Highness Prince Hussein, the Crown Prince. Student Sewar Al-Qawasmi, a fifth-year student at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University, participated in the Ramadan Iftar banquet hosted by His Royal Highness at the Husseinia Palace for the third group of young men and women of the Hussein Steps program. This program is dedicated to building young leadership and motivating youth to serve the community. It is noteworthy that student Sewar is a member of the program and the only participant from Yarmouk University.

Congratulations to student Abdullah Firas Shatnawi from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University (Class of 2021) for winning the gold medal for our national team in the Taekwondo Championship in the men's category.

Congratulations to the student Mohannad Akef Al-Lubani from the Faculty of Pharmacy for achieving first place,  in the third level of the Holy Quran memorization competition at Yarmouk University.

A team of distinguished pharmacy students from Yarmouk University participated in the first competition in the field of pharmacology and therapeutics among pharmacy colleges in Jordan, held at Al-Zarqa University. The team was able to achieve advanced positions and reach the semi-finals. Congratulations to the participating students: Bushra Al-Sinawi, Majd Al-Basoul, and Zaid Ababneh. We also appreciate the efforts of the supervising faculty committee members, including Dr. Alaa Al-Yahya, Dr. Maryam Al-Amri, and Dr. Islam Bardaweel.

The students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University organized a health awareness campaign for the students of Al-Bab Al-Aali School in Irbid in cooperation with the medical club. They presented a variety of informative guidelines related to healthy eating habits, personal hygiene, and the harms of smoking in its various forms during Ramadan. Interactive lectures and awareness pamphlets were well-received by the students, who actively participated in the activity.
