The College of Pharmacy held an intensive preparatory program for its students expected to graduate in the second and summer semester of the academic year 2020/2021 and the amounts totaling 170 students, which was held over a period of ten days.
The program was inaugurated by the Dean of the College - Dr. Mervat Al-Sous, who during the first sessions of the program familiarized students with the university aptitude test, its importance, and the general and special fields of knowledge included in the exam. In the same session, students were introduced to the examination procedures and instructions and how to enter the exam platform.
The program included a number of lectures in different subjects within the specialty of pharmacy such as pharmacokinetics, pharmaceutical microbiology, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical calculations, pharmaceutical robotics, pharmacology, therapeutics, pharmacy technology and pharmaceutical manufacturing, and non-prescription drugs .
Dr. Mervat Al-Sous, Dr. Rawan Al-Sharideh, pharmacist Rasha Bashatoua, Dr. Bilal Al-Jaidi, Dr. Dima Al-Balas, Dr. Ala Mukhaimer, Dr. Hanin Amawi, Dr. Muhammad Obaid Ayasrah and Dr. Saja Al-Nahar held review sessions, each according to his specialization.
This initiative comes out of the keenness and interest of the university and college administration in the university aptitude examination.

It is with great pride we announce our alumni Motasem Shdeifat and Hamzeh Oweis have concluded the requirements for obtaining a master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the Near East University in Turkey.
Their work had been co-supervised by our own colleagues Dr. Mohammad Nuseir and Dr. Haneen Amawi and this is the first collaboration of this kind between the two esteemed faculties.
Under the patronage of the University President and Prof. Dr. Vice President, we were pleased to akcnowledge and appreciate Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Qaisi in the presence of the academic staff in the Faculty of Pharmacy.We were privileged to have Prof. Dr. Al-Qaisi, a scientific stature and a distinguished professor, among our academics while spending an academic sabbatical leave from The University of Jordan at our faculty.



The dean and the administrative staff meeting was held with the faculty members via the Zoom platform on Monday 12/21/2020 at 6:00 pm, several topics were discussed, most notably the flow of the semester’s exams, preparation for the final exam, the academic advising mechanism, and other major developments.

As part of Yarmouk University’s strategy and its educational and scientific mission, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Mervat Al-Sous, met virtually via the Zoom platform with the freshmen of the academic year 2020/2021 on Friday 11/12/2020 at 6 pm, in the presence of the vice dean's assistants, heads of academic departments and a number of faculty members in the college.
The dean has stressed the need for rigorous efforts by the faculty members and all staff in the college in order to improve the performance, upgrade and develop the level of services provided to college students, and most Importantly , to overcome the difficulties and challenges students may face during their study time at Yarmouk University, especially in light of the exceptional circumstances imposed by the Corona pandemic on the whole world.
She urged on students to communicate with heads of departments and the college administration to obtain sources of information related to academic advising and registration, and any other matters related to the teaching process. She also urged the students to be updated and informed of the laws and protocols and applying the university’s instructions related to receiving the academic degree they’re after.
The Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Bilal Al-Jaidi, presented a detailed description at the beginning of the meeting about the establishment of the university and the faculties in it, he also talked about the organizational structure of the Faculty of Pharmacy and its academic and administrative departments in a way that makes it easier for students to communicate with officials in the faculty to raise any problems or suggestions they have, stressing the importance of obtaining any information through official channels the faculty and university provide to the student, especially the university’s website, e-learning sites, departmental administration, or the student’s guide, e-mail, and the university’s official pages through various social media sites.
The meeting was concluded with a Q&A session to answer students’ concerns, observations and inquiries by the administrative and academic departments.

Dr. Derar Al-Omari from the Faculty of Pharmacy has hosted Dr. Hanan Al-Saboul, Secretary General of the Jordan Pharmaceutical Producers Association during an interactive virtual lecture on the Zoom platform entitled "USP and cooperation with Jordan" on Sunday 12/13/2020. This meeting is a customary part of the course “Research and Development”.

Congratulations are due to Dr. Alaa Aljabali for winning the Excellent Speaker award and acceptance of his manuscript for publication during the events of the international conference on Multidisciplinary Science and Advance Technologies (ICMSAT 2020), we wish him many more achievements and great success.
