Under the gracious patronage of the Deanship of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the launch event of the project “Seek Light” was held on Wednesday, 25/2/2026, at the Faculty of Pharmacy. The project is supervised by Dr. Ma’moun Al-Shamali from the Faculty of Sharia and Dr. Maryam Al-Ameri from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and was attended by a number of faculty members and students.
The project stems from a vision aimed at graduating a generation of pharmacy students who memorize the Holy Qur’an, master its rules of recitation, uphold its values, and combine academic excellence with religious commitment within a supportive and motivating university environment.
The event included a speech delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Jabali, who praised the organizers and those responsible for the project.
Dr. Ma’moun Al-Shamali also delivered a speech highlighting the importance of such Qur’anic initiatives within the university environment and their role in strengthening values and deepening the connection with the Book of Allah. He emphasized the necessity of sincerity and renewing one’s intention throughout this blessed journey.
In addition, Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Shouha gave a speech addressing the virtue of the Holy Qur’an and its impact on spiritual purification, especially during faith-filled seasons such as the blessed month of Ramadan.
By the grace of Allah, the project witnessed a remarkable turnout from pharmacy students registering in the various levels. A large number also attended the opening event and engaged actively, reflecting their strong commitment to participating in this blessed Qur’anic journey.
We ask Allah to bless the attendees and participants and to reward them abundantly for their support and encouragement. We pray that He blesses this project, makes it purely for His noble sake, grants sincerity and true intention to those in charge and those participating, benefits the students through it, grants them reward and steadfastness, and makes the Qur’an the spring of their hearts and the light of their chests.
