Dr.Dima Al-Balas from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University participated in the scientific panel discussion entitled “Integrating Health Technology:The Golden Era of Innovation”, which was held at the Islamic Educational College Alumni Club Association as part of a scientific celebration marking the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The event was graciously patronized by Her Royal Highness Princess Alia Karima Al-Tabbaa, may God protect her, and attended by distinguished dignitaries, senior officials, and a select group of academics, researchers, and individuals engaged in scientific and community affairs.
The session addressed pathways for advancing women’s digital health from the planning stage to practical implementation, while highlighting the role of technology in improving women’s quality of life across different stages of life.The panel discussions explored several key themes, including digital health, knowledge empowerment, medical innovation, and the integration of healthcare and technology, with a particular focus on addressing women’s current needs and anticipating future requirements.
The scientific gathering reaffirmed Jordan’s steadfast commitment to supporting and empowering women, in alignment with the wise Hashemite vision led by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, who has consistently recognized women as essential partners in development and leaders in the fields of science, research, and innovation.
This event underscored the importance of building a supportive digital health ecosystem for women—one that enhances prevention, strengthens informed health decision-making, and opens new horizons for research, development, and innovation—consistent with national aspirations toward sustainable health and a more informed society.
