As part of its ongoing efforts to bridge theory with practice, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University, under the supervision of Dr. Deniz Al-Tawalbeh, organized a scientific field visit for a group of students to the Hamdi Mango Center for Scientific Research at the University of Jordan.
During the visit, Dr. Tamara Al-Qudah delivered an enriching lecture on plant tissue culture techniques, highlighting methods for the extraction and separation of secondary plant metabolites, offering both theoretical context and practical insight.
In addition, Dr. Ismail Abaza provided an in-depth explanation of the Gas Chromatography (GC) system, detailing its principles, operation, and critical role in precise chemical analysis.
The visit also included a guided tour of the research laboratories, where students were introduced to key laboratory instruments, as well as protocols for chemical preparation and storage. This hands-on exposure offered valuable insight into real-world research environments.
Students expressed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the opportunity, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in enhancing their academic and professional readiness.
