Faculty of Pharmacy Hosts Lecture on the Virtues of the Last Ten Days of Ramadan

Under the generous patronage of the Deanship of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and as part of the activities of the “Faltamisū Nūran” (Seek a Light) initiative, the Faculty of Pharmacy hosted on Sunday, March 8, 2026, Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Sharman from the Faculty of Sharia to deliver a distinguished religious lecture entitled “Seasons of Closeness to God: The Virtues of the Last Ten Days of Ramadan.”

During the lecture, Dr. Al-Sharman spoke about the special status of the last ten days of the blessed month of Ramadan and their great significance in the life of a Muslim. He explained that these days represent one of the greatest seasons of worship and drawing closer to Allah, during which rewards are multiplied and opportunities for forgiveness and salvation from Hellfire increase. He also emphasized the importance of making the most of these blessed days by increasing acts of worship such as prayer, night prayers (Qiyam), recitation of the Holy Qur’an, and supplication.

He also discussed Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) and its immense virtue, explaining that it is a night better than a thousand months. He encouraged students to strive in acts of worship during these blessed days because of their profound impact on spiritual purification and strengthening faith-based values.

At the conclusion of the lecture, attendees emphasized the importance of such faith-based gatherings, which contribute to enhancing students’ religious awareness and strengthening their connection to spiritual values during the blessed month of Ramadan.
