As a part of Quality Week activities held under the patronage of Professor Malek AlSharairi at Yarmouk University from November 11–13, 2025, The Faculty of Pharmacy hosted, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 12:30 PM, a workshop in the faculty’s seminar hall titled:  

“The Importance of Continuous Professional Development in Maintaining the Competence of Healthcare Personnel and Renewing Practice Licenses.”

This lecture was delivered by Dr. Safaa Al Ouran, Director of the Directorate of Institutional Development and Quality Control at the Ministry of Health.  

Dr. Al-Ouran discussed:  

- The importance of continuous education for healthcare personnel.

- The regulations for license renewal for healthcare professionals.

- The types and nature of accredited workshops and courses required to obtain approved CPD credit hours.

- The role of various sectors, including universities, in providing accredited training activities for healthcare professionals.  

The lecture included questions and discussions involving faculty members and students, which had a positive impact in enriching and enhancing our knowledge.
