As part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and enhance integration in practical training, a delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy paid a visit to Prince Rashid Bin Al-Hassan Military Hospital. The visit comes within the framework of partnership with the Royal Medical Services aimed at developing training programs for the Faculty’s students.
During the visit, the delegation attended a briefing delivered by the Hospital Director, Brigadier General Dr. Firas Al-Hammouri, in which he presented a comprehensive overview of the hospital, the healthcare services it provides, and the vital role of supporting units in serving the region. The delegation also listened to a briefing by Colonel Pharmacist Jaafar Abdul Rahman Abu Obeileh, Head of Pharmacists at the hospital, who highlighted the role of clinical pharmacy, the newly established Clinical Pharmacy and Parenteral Nutrition Unit, and its impact on improving the quality of healthcare services provided to patients of the Royal Medical Services, in addition to prospects for cooperation with Yarmouk University and its medical faculties.
The visit included presentations by Pharmacist Maha Abu Sihyoun and Pharmacist Nisreen Al-Naqrash, who reviewed their experience in supervising the practical training of Faculty of Pharmacy students, the approved training mechanisms, and the achieved educational outcomes. At the conclusion of the meeting, an agreement was reached to implement a joint training program covering postgraduate students during the second semester and undergraduate students during the summer semester.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Jabali, commended the strong relationship and ongoing partnership between the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Royal Medical Services, stressing the importance of this cooperation in developing students’ practical skills, enhancing their professional readiness, and expanding opportunities for applied clinical training in a manner that serves the educational process and the national healthcare sector.
The university delegation included Dr. Maryam Al-Ameri, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Practice; Dr. Rawan Al-Shreideh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and Dr. Haneen Amawi, Assistant Dean for Training Affairs. At the conclusion of the visit, both sides affirmed their commitment to continued coordination and follow-up, building on the achieved consensus in a way that strengthens the strategic partnership and fulfills shared educational and training objectives.
