Pharmacy Students Complete Their Elective Clinical Training at King Abdullah University Hospital

A group of distinguished fifth-year pharmacy students successfully completed their elective clinical training at the Clinical Pharmacy Department/ King Abdullah University Hospital, which lasted for one month with a total of 132 training hours.

This elective training was coordinated through the efforts of the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Pharmacy and supervised by Dr. Haneen Amawi, Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs and Training, who ensured optimal implementation of the training program.

The training aimed to enhance students’ clinical skills and bridge theoretical knowledge with practical application in a real healthcare setting. During the training period, students gained valuable exposure to the roles of clinical pharmacists across several departments, including:

•Oncology Department

•Neurosurgery Department

•Chemotherapy Pharmacy

•Main Hospital Pharmacy

•Internal Medicine Department

Students also had the opportunity to follow up on patient cases and discuss treatment plans in collaboration with the hospital’s medical staff.

The students expressed their gratitude and appreciation to both the hospital administration and the Faculty of Pharmacy for providing this valuable training opportunity, which contributed to developing their practical and professional competencies. They emphasized that this experience represented a significant step in their future professional careers.
