Faculty of Pharmacy Holds Its Third Ramadan Iftar to Foster a Spirit of Belonging and Communication

In a warm and friendly Ramadan atmosphere, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University held its annual Ramadan Iftar, attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Alaa Al-Jabali, Vice Dean Dr. Rawan Shreideh, heads of academic departments, and a number of academic and administrative staff members, alongside a notable presence of students, including international students who were specially invited to participate in the occasion.

Prof. Al-Jabali emphasized that organizing this gathering reflects the faculty’s commitment to enhancing a sense of belonging and communication among its academic and administrative staff and students, while reinforcing the human and social values embodied by the holy month of Ramadan, helping to strengthen bonds of fraternity within the university community.

The event featured a special session by Prof. Mohammad Rababeh from the Faculty of Sharia, who delivered a religious lesson highlighting the virtues of Ramadan, particularly the last ten nights, and their spiritual significance as a time for worship and devotion.

Following the session, attendees shared the Iftar meal in a warm and friendly atmosphere, exchanging greetings and well wishes for the holy month, reflecting the strong sense of family and unity among the faculty members.

The Iftar was organized under the supervision of Prof. Yazan Al-Akkam, Head of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy, and coordinated by Dr. Lorca Al-Zoubi, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Secretary of the Student Activities Committee, with participation from students Ahmad Shaqah, Doaa Mashala, and Alaa Sub Laban.

The organization of the event was also supported by Pharmacists Yasmeen Hamzat, Bayan Malkawi, and Reem Abu Hashhash, alongside PURE Sustainable Development Team and the Dosemates Team.

The Iftar was made possible with generous support from a number of sponsors, whose contributions helped ensure the success of the event and promoted a spirit of cooperation and communication among the faculty community during this blessed month.

At the conclusion of the event, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the organizers in recognition of their efforts in making the Iftar a success.
