On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, observed annually on November 14, members of the faculty and students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and under the generous patronage of the Faculty’s Dean, organized an educational workshop in cooperation with Al-Hussein Library. The event, held in the library hall, witnessed notable attendance from students and visitors.

The workshop featured a series of informative and interactive activities, including a comprehensive presentation on diabetes, an explanation of risk factors associated with the disease, and an overview of its potential complications and preventive measures. Special emphasis was placed on raising awareness about diabetic foot, highlighting the importance of early detection and proper care to prevent serious outcomes.

The event also included free blood glucose testing provided by MedLabs Laboratories, along with nutritional consultations and body composition analysis (InBody) offered by nutrition experts from Jordan University of Science and Technology and Health Chance Center. In addition, participating companies Mix Market and Good Day showcased a selection of diabetes-friendly health products.

This initiative contributed to enhancing health awareness within the university community and promoting a culture of diabetes prevention. Attendees expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the organizing team and the value of the information presented.
