The Faculty of Pharmacy has organized an orientation meeting for new students for the academic year 2025/2026. The Dean of the Faculty, Professor Alaa Al-Jabali, has attended the event alonge with a number of academic and administrative staff members, students, and alumni.

At the start of the meeting, the Dean welcomed the new students, congratulating them for their joining the family of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University, and emphasizing the faculty's commitment to qualifying its students and equipping them with the competencies required by the job market. He reviewed the establishment of the faculty and its academic departments, urged the new students to excel academically and participate in extracurricular activities, and expressed the faculty's constant readiness to provide all support to its students.

The heads of the academic departments, Professor Yazan Al-Akkam, Head of the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy; Associate professor Ali Humaidat, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology; and Associate professor Mariam Al-Ameri, Head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice, have given speeches too.

They discussed the courses offered in each department and provided numerous academic guidelines and advice of interest to the students.

Pharmacist Reem Abu Hashhash, leader of the Sustainable Development Team (PURE), gave an introductory speech about the team and the volunteer work it carries out.

In her speech, student Duaa Mashaleh, a current student in this college, encouraged the new students to ensure that their opinions have an impact and an effective role through surveys, urging them to fill them out objectively.

A previous Graduate pharmacist Rahaf Ghaithan delivered the alumni speech about her distinguished experience, offering advice for academic excellence and emphasizing the importance of participating in competitions and engaging early with the job market, as well as her winning first place with her colleagues in the competition held on the sidelines of the University of Jordan conference.

The meeting included an innovative and creative introductory video presentation about the facilities of the Faculty of Pharmacy and the University’s facilities, prepared by a group of outstanding students.

At the end of the meeting, appreciation certificates were distributed to the winning students in the competitions in recognition of them, and to the students and companies who contributed to the success of the meeting in appreciation of their efforts.
