Yarmouk University Faculty of Pharmacy Continues the Success of Its Partnership with the Clinical Research Center at Irbid Specialty Hospital

The Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University continues to implement its memorandum of understanding with the Clinical Research Center at Irbid Specialty Hospital. The agreement aims to train and prepare the faculty’s female graduates to work in the field of Clinical Research Coordination, either to join the labor market or to obtain accredited training certificates from the center. This memorandum has been supervised by Dr. Bilal Al-Jaidi (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy), Dr. Islam Bardweel, and Pharmacist Bayan Malkawi from the Faculty, in cooperation with Dr. Sabiha Malkawi, Director of the Clinical Research Center.

This collaboration has already resulted in the employment of Farah Malkawi, who ranked third in her graduating class and was among the top academic achievers at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Yarmouk University. After demonstrating exceptional competence and outstanding practical skills during her training period, she was hired as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the center. This achievement reflects the direct impact of the agreement in empowering distinguished graduates to translate their academic excellence into tangible professional success, thereby opening wide horizons for their career opportunities.

Clinical Research Coordinators play a pivotal role in advancing clinical research within medical centers by welcoming and guiding participants, overseeing medical procedures, reviewing test results, ensuring adherence to scheduled visits, and maintaining accurate documentation and data integrity. They also serve as an essential link between the medical team, study sponsors, and participants, thereby contributing significantly to the success and efficiency of clinical studies.

The Faculty affirms that this partnership represents an important step toward providing advanced practical opportunities for its graduates and strengthening the alignment of academic programs with the evolving needs of the pharmaceutical and research job market.
