The Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University was established in 1979 as the first pharmacy faculty in Jordan. In 1986, It was transferred to the Jordan University of Science and Technology. With a desire to develop a more comprehensive approach to university specialties, Yarmouk University reopened the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2013. In 2019, the Princess Iman bint Abdullah II building was inaugurated on the university's southern campus to house both the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy. This building was designed to be equipped with the latest educational and research facilities, offering a distinctive environment for students with a unique design.
The Faculty of Pharmacy is dedicated to provide top-notch pharmaceutical education with the goal of equipping future pharmacists with theoretical and practical abilities. The Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) granted accreditation to the Faculty of Pharmacy to guarantee the quality of instruction and the qualifications of its graduates.
The faculty provides a Master's program in Pharmaceutical Development Technology and Practice in addition to a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, which is the prerequisite for the practice of pharmacy. This program covers specialized training in pharmacy and enables students to delve into scientific research, performance development, and professional, social, and clinical aspects.
The Faculty of Pharmacy had more than 35 faculty members with substantial scientific and research experience in a range of pharmaceutical domains. The instructors are dedicated to producing a small number of highly skilled pharmacists and eminent scholars. The Faculty places great emphasis on scientific research and takes pride in the quality and impact of its research and researchers.
