A team from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University participated in the Scientific Day for Research and Innovation, organized by the School of Applied Medical Sciences at the German Jordanian University, in collaboration with the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society – Jordan Chapter (IEEE EMBS Jordan Chapter), under the theme:

“From Research to Impact: Connecting Discovery with Application and Collaboration.”

The Faculty of Pharmacy participated by presenting the research project entitled:

“Dual SRC/IGF2BP1 Inhibition as an Innovative Therapeutic Strategy for Head and Neck Cancer.”

The project was supervised by Dr. Ali Hmedat from the Faculty of Pharmacy, with the participation of students Raghad Murad Obeid and Amal Abdullah Bani Issa.
The research focuses on developing an innovative therapeutic strategy for head and neck cancer through the dual targeting of SRC and IGF2BP1, contributing to the exploration of new therapeutic approaches and supporting the translation of research findings toward future clinical applications.
This participation reflects the commitment of Yarmouk University and the Faculty of Pharmacy to supporting scientific research and innovation and engaging students in scientific activities and events. Such participation contributes to developing students’ research skills, strengthening scientific collaboration, and connecting academic research outcomes with practical applications that serve the healthcare sector and society.
