Welcome to the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. This department comprises a group of faculty members from a wide range of scientific disciplines that are critical to the discovery and development of new drugs and treatments. The department teaches physical pharmacy, pharmaceutical compounding, pharmaceutical technology, pharmaceutical organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical instrumental analysis, biochemsitry, medicinal chemistry, phytochemistry, microbiology, drug design and advanced drug design. We also provide laboratory training and practical guidance to students through practical laboratory courses.
The department also offers 12 credit hours of elective courses that deal with biostatistics, research methodology, pharmaceutical microbiology, immunology and serology, and pharmaceutical biotechnology.
